Thule Ladder Racks Review - 2020 Ford F-150- Video
Zack: Hey guys, Zack here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Thule TracRac TracONE truck bed ladder rack system on our 2020 Ford F-150. This is going to be a solid way if you're looking to carry any kind of longer items such as ladders, lumbers, I even see people throwing kayaks and standup paddle boards up here. It's a great way to clear up some space in your truck, get it up there and secure it nice and still be able to use your truck bed for all those other things.Now, I only have this partially installed. It's held in place with these C clamps. It's a pretty quick and easy way, it doesn't require any drilling and what I like about it is it allows you to kind of adjust it if you want to but we like putting ours in this configuration we have today. So, essentially what you do is you take this bolt and connect it into that foot, and we'll just tighten those down. more

Thule Ladder Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Tacoma- Video
Hey guys, John here from each trailer.com. Today on our 2019 Toyota Tacoma, we're test fitting the two lead track rack track one ladder rack. This has an 800 pound weight capacity, and it comes in both a silver finish or a matte black finish as you can see, we have here today. The ladder rack is a great way to give you more cargo-carrying capacity. As you can see, we have our ladder here. It's a little bit longer than our short bed here, and we could probably fit it if we put it at a diagonal or maybe loaded on top of the tailgate, we're putting the ladder rack here. more

Thule Ladder Racks Review - 2019 Toyota Tacoma TH500XT-XK4- Video
John: Hey guys, John here from etrailer.com, and today we have our 2019 Toyota Tacoma. We are test fitting the Thule Xsporter Pro ladder rack. It has a 450-pound weight capacity, and it is a great way to add more cargo capacity, and more area to your pickup, without having to install a roof rack, or maybe add a cargo carrier in the back. As you can see our ladder here is slightly bigger than our truck bed, and so installing a ladder rack means we can cost the ladder up there and not have to set it diagonal and take up most of the bed, or maybe have it hanging up or tailgate down, really opens up the possibility to how much more cargo you can carry with your pickup.This ladder rack system, has two different mounting options depending on if you have the deck rail system in your Tacoma or not. It normally comes with the C-clamp and it just clamps over your bed rail secures on the underside of your bed rail. I did wanna show this because it has the bracket you can take this bracket off and put it on the bracket that we are, or the clamps that we we're using today for installation, and what this bracket does is it lets you put on the locking cover. more

Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack Review TH43002XT-501- Video
Adam: Hi everyone, Adam with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Sliding TracRac. What sets this ladder rack apart from most is the fact that it comes with these rails which goes on the side of the bed your truck and just makes it super easy to remove. All you got to do is just take the screw out and slide them off if you're not using them, and also it's actually extremely easy to move. We just undo these knobs here and if we're not using or hauling anything, you can slide them all the way back so you can still have all of that capacity of the bed of your truck. If you have a fifth wheel, slide them to your cab and you can still use it.Our track here is going to be made of aluminum, so it's going to resist against rust and corrosion, and it also has a nice finish to it as well. more

Yakima BedRock HD Truck Bed Cargo Rack Review- Video
Hey, today we're going to be checking out the Yakima Bedrock HD tower truck bed rack system. You can see we've already got it in place here. Basically, it's very similar to a roof rack except for that we can mount it to our truck bed rails. I've got a bike rack with a bike installed and a surfboard mounted to it, but you're going to be able to carry ski racks, kayak racks, cargo boxes, cargo baskets. There's even a Yakima sky rise tent that can be mounted to these HD bars allowing us to have tent access above our truck bed.Now it mounts to the top of our truck bed rails. Today we're gonna be checkin' out Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack with Cantilever.With this system you get way more than your traditional ladder rack. You get an abundance of features and you get more loading space. The included cantilever extends over the roof of your truck, expanding the amount of storage space available.The cantilever extends 32" from your front rail. You'll get a whopping 1,250 pounds carrying capacity distributed evenly across your rack. If you're using your cantilever up there, it does reduce it down to 1,000 pounds but that's still plenty of space and carrying capacity for anything you throw up there.We've currently got ladders up on our rack, but with it's massive carrying capacity, you could put lumber, steel, PVC pipes, and just about anything and secure it tightly with the load stops found on each corner.Now with the ladders removed, I'll show you it's coolest feature. The tops will slide individually from one another, allowing you to collapse it down and get the maximum use out of your truck bed when you need that vertical space or you could adjust it for shorter ladders and loads, while still maintaining half of your truck bed for taller objects.This is unlike other ladder racks that are set in a fixed position which require you to remove them completely if you need full truck bed access. more

Buyers Products Ladder Racks Review - 2016 Ford F-150- Video
Today on our 2016 Ford F-150, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Buyers Products Over-The -Cab Truck Bed Ladder Rack. I've already got it in place just to give you a good idea of what it looks like. As you can see, it's going to allow us to carry those elongated items over our cab; so things like ladders, lumber, PVC, anything like that, it's going to work out nicely. I've got more than enough clearance between my cab and the underside of the bar, so we don't need to worry about anything coming in contact with it.Now my F-150 also has a six-and-a-half foot bed here, but it'll work out nicely with a five-and a-half foot bed, eight-foot bed, any one of those. Now the whole thing is made out of a steel construction with a 1,000 pound weight capacity, so we've got more than enough to carry our gear. Also in each corner, I'd like to point out that we have a variety of tie down loops to work with: hooks, straps, rope, anything that we need to tie down our gear. more

Today on our 2019 Ram 1500 Classic, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Thule Xsporter Pro Adjustable Height Truck Bed Ladder Rack, which is part number TH500XT. This also does come in black under part number TH500XTB.This ladder rack is a great tool to have that'll allow you to haul any longer items above the bed of your pickup, and freeing up space inside the bed for other tools or other items or equipment. It's also going to help prevent you from having to travel with your tailgate down, which we all know that could sometimes be a hassle or could be more of a struggle or more of a risk, I should say.The rack itself has an adjustable height. How you would do that, if you're going to do it by yourself, I would suggest being in the truck bed and in the middle. What you would do is you would come and loosen both of these hand knobs right here. Once you get both sides, you can adjust it to whatever height you desire, whether you want it lower, like more towards the height of your cab, or if you want it a lot higher than your cab, you can do that as well. more

Thule Ladder Racks Review - 2019 Ram 1500 Classic TH27000XTB- Video
Today we have a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic. We're going to be taking a look at the Thule TracRac TracONE Truck Bed Ladder Rack, which is part number TH27000XTB. This ladder rack is a great accessory to have so that you can haul longer items about your truck bed and a bit over the cab of your truck, freeing up the space inside your bed for other tools and equipment or whatever else you might want to put back there.Now, as far as temporary ladder racks go, meaning that we can remove this pretty easily whenever we want because of the clamp system, it has a 800 pound weight capacity which is very high for temporary ladder racks. Most of the time you're going to have a lower weight capacity to get up there. To get up to that weight capacity you're going to need one of the permanent ones that has more support.I'm going to go ahead and climb up so I can show you a little bit more about this. Now, it has a nice matte black powder coat finish which is going to be resistant to rust and corrosion. more

Thule Ladder Racks Review - 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LD- Video
Today in our 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LDwe're gonna be doing a test fit on the Thule TracRac TracONE truck bed ladder rack part number TH27000XTB. And this also does come in silver under part number TH27000XT.Now this ladder rack is great tool to use for getting stuff out of the bed of your pickup and hauling it over top. The weight capacity for this is 800 lbs, which is a pretty substantial amount to put on top of a non permanent ladder rack setup. And it also works out great for elongated items such as ladders or lumber so you can haul it and extend it over the cab of your pickup.Each top of the cross bar is gonna have these load stops. To activate them all you gotta do is loosen up this hand knob and then you can adjust it along inside the track to wherever your load might be and then you just tighten it back down like that.Now each cross bar is gonna be held in by four different clamps, we'll show you what they look like right here. The clams come on top in this little track right here and they come under your bed rail to clamp down. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Thule Xporter Pro adjustable height ladder rack, part number TH500xt.Now this ladder rack is very useful for carrying elongated loads above the bed of your pickup without having to open up your tailgate and let it hang out. It's also going to free up space on the inside of your bed for other tools or gear, whatever you might have.You can also extend it above your cab a good amount, to carry those very long ladders, or lumber, anything like that. We also have these load stops that are in the T-tracks on top of the crossbars. All you've got to do is loosen up these hand knobs, and you can adjust the load stop to kind of sandwich your load between the two and then tighten it back down.Like I said, they do work in these T-channels. That's also going to let you know that you can utilize any type of carrier, such as a kayak carrier on top of our crossbars. If you have the type where it straps around your crossbar, you might need to pick up an adaptor kit due to the thickness of these crossbars, they're a little bit thicker than your traditional Thule AeroBlade roof rack system.The height of these crossbars is adjustable. more

Thule Ladder Racks Review - 2015 Ford F-250 Super Duty- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Ford F-250 Super Duty, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Pro2, this is going to be your truck bed mount in ladder rack.It's going to have a couple nice features with it. It's going to come with your four cleats on either side to tie things down, as well as your locking blocks on top. And also, the ability to mount your toolbox on top of the rail system.You'll see it will come with your extra two clamps and all your hardware to thread down the flat washers and bolts through the top of your toolbox. Very simple and easy to put on. It'll come with your extra set of clamps, two extra set of clamps, your bottom brackets, as well as your flat washer and bolt to go through your toolbox.It'll come with that extra raised rail, just like the track rack, and the extra pads. That way you can have a toolbox mounted on top of your TracRac system, and it's all going to look nice and neat, and you won't have to put any spacer blocks underneath.So now that you've seen the front one, let's see how part number TA37003, the TracRac Pro2, gets installed.First thing we're going to do is drop down our tailgate, and then we'll set it up into place. more

Speaker 1: Today we are looking at the TracRac Universal Steel Rac truck bed ladder rack with over-the-cab extension.The built-in over-the-cab extension provides additional support for extra long loads.Now that we have our ladder in place, show you a few nice features about this. Plenty of places to wrap our strap around. This is just a generic cam-buckle strap. You can strap to pretty much any point on here and it's going to give you a nice solid, sturdy place to strap.So as you can see down here, we have our welded on cleats. That's great for ratchet straps. Threw a ratchet strap over the top onto our other cleat, and to tie off my slack just so it's not waving in the wind I wrapped it around our nice crossbar here. more

Reese Ladder Racks Review - 2002 Toyota Tundra- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2002 Toyota Tundra, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Reese Towpower TransRACK Ladder Rack, that's part number RP7063500.Now, this has a weight capacity of 800 pounds. That's awesome because it's made out of aluminum, so it's right up there with the premium or steel ladder racks with its weight capacity. The other nice thing with it being aluminum is it's going to be resistant to rust and corrosion, so we don't have to worry about the elements causing any harm.Now, ladder racks can be very beneficial. For one, they're going to allow us to carry our elongated items above our truck bed, freeing up space inside of our truck bed for more equipment or gear. Another nice thing is if you are someone who has a few water crafts, such as kayaks or paddle boarded, you're going to be able to carry those as well, freeing up more space in your truck bed for other things like your bikes.You do have to provide your own straps, so just keep that in mind when purchasing a ladder rack. You'll need to provide your own unless you have some. more

Thule T-Rac Pro2 Ladder Rack Review- Video
Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Tracrac T-Track Pro ladder rack for fixed mounts. This Tracrac ladder rack is great for vehicles with the deck rail system like our Tacoma here because the clamps are specifically designed to work with that, so you now can haul your ladders, your home improvement equipment, or your stand up paddle boards or kayaks when you're going to the lake. Since this is a clamp-on style, it's just as easy to put on as it is to take off, plus there's no drilling required, which is a huge bonus. To help protect the bed rails, they do provide these shims to give you a little bit of cushion once you've put the ladder rack in place and clamp it down.This can work with vehicles with a tool box in the truck bed as well, however there will be some drilling for that instance. While it doesn't come with the tie downs to secure your load, it does provide eight points to secure your load on your ladder rack. It's made with a lightweight aluminum construction, but is still strong and durable with a weight capacity of 1,000 pounds.Now we went ahead and removed the lugs so we can show off some of the other features. more

It features a lightweight aluminum construction, but still rugged and durable with an 800 pounds weight capacity. This TracRac ladder rack is great for vehicles with a deck rail system, like our Tacoma here because the clamps are specifically designed to work with that, so you now can haul your ladders, your home improvement equipment or your stand up paddle boards or kayaks when you're going to the lake. And since this is a clamp on style, it's just as easy to put on as it is to take off. Plus, there's no drilling required, which is huge bonus. And to help protect the bed rails, they do provide these shims to give you a little bit of cushion once you put the ladder up in place and clamp it down.This can work with vehicles with a toolbox in the truck bed as well. However, there will be some drilling required for that instance. more

These TracRac base rails are going to provide a sliding, fully-adjustable solution for your TracRac SR or G2 ladder racks. Today on our 2017 Ford F250 Super Duty, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Exporter Pro Adjustable Height Truck Bed Ladder Rack. Part number TH500XT. This has a carrying capacity of 450 pounds, and the ladder rack is adjustable up and down to accommodate different heights of trucks, and it can also be expanded up to accommodate different truck bed widths. That is done by loosening up the two bolts on the top here on both sides, making your adjustments and then re-tightening it down. We also have tie downs on both of our crossbars here, and that's to keep your loads together, and you can also use it to tie down your loads as well. On anything from ladder racks to lumber, to whatever it is you're hauling. more

This is a fixed ladder rack therefore cannot be adjusted, however it can be adjusted from side to side to adjust to various truck bed widths. It has an aerodynamic shape to the bars on both the front and back. This is gonna cut down wind noise and drag while you're driving. more

Today, on our 2017 Ford F-150, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Xsporter Pro Adjustable Height Ladder Rack, part number TH500XT. This has a carrying capacity of 450 pounds, and it clamps onto your truck bed using the clamps provided. They also do have locks available, as well, so you can secure this to your truck bed. Now, to make it adjustable to varying truck bed widths, you can loosen up these two bolts at the top on both sides, and that'll actually widen it or narrow it, however which way you need. The bars themselves are aerodynamic in shape to cut down wind noise and drag while you're driving, and it does come with these stoppers to hold down your loads, whether it be ladder racks, lumber, or anything else you might be hauling. We have these fit dials here, which you would turn to the left to loosen them up on both sides. Lower them to whatever height you need. more

Today on our 2017 RAM 2500 we're doing a test fit of the Track Rack Track One Truck Bed Ladder Rack. That part number is TA27000-01. Now we already have our ladder rack in place. We've got most of it secured down, we're going to show you how to do the back corner but first we're going to go over some features. You can see these are a nice aerodynamic shape, they're going to allow you to carry any accessories on your truck bed and still give you access to your truck bed area to carry more gear. One thing to keep in mind is that we do have this bed liner on here so we don't have to worry about making any scratches or abrasions. more
